Great Decisions 2007

Great Decisions is an annual publication of the Foreign Policy Association.
At the initiative of Mimi Gregory, President of the Alliance Française de Bonita Springs, Board member of the World Affairs Councils of America and of the Foreign Policy Association, the Delegation generale is pleased to present four articles selected among eight in this year edition. The themes considered in 2007 are:
- The United States in the Middle-East
- Climate Change and Global Warming
- International Migration in a Globalizing Economy
- Helping the World's endangered Children
These four articles are now available in French, and include a Teacher's Guide elaborated by the Délégation générale. The quick guide allows teachers to grasp the structure of the articles and suggests a few activities for the class.
The package (translations + guide) should facilitate the creation of an advanced course (Cecr level B2 and up) based on major themes in international politics; written by american experts, the studies address american strategic decisions while proposing an introduction to global issues.
It is our hope that Directors will take the time to discover this material specifically prepared for them, and will consider, for their Alliance chapter, organizing theme classes whose interest and relevance should seduce their Alliance members.
