Entente Cordiale is alive and well in our wonderful community of Francophiles and Francophones. An Esprit d’équipe, enthusiasm and energy, drive our common mission of promoting French language and culture.
The Federation network continues to grow and develop and we welcome our new member chapters. We are intent on gaining strength both financially and administratively as a national organization with more than 110 member Alliances located all across the United States.
The Board of the Federation is elected by you the membership, and we are proud to serve to enhance the support that this great assembly brings to its network of chapters be they small, medium or large. We recognize that each Alliance has its own individual personality, defined by its size, its geographic location in city or rural environment.
Our whole reseau and its Member Chapters are truly considered as ambassadors and advocates for France and recognized as such by the French Government.
We have worked hard to improve our communication tools especially this website, http://www.afusa.org/ I encourage you to use them when prospecting for new members or students and most importantly when talking to potential donors and sponsors for your activities.
The Federation continues to maintain its impressive list of grants with more than $50,000 having been disbursed over the last twelve months for school development, cultural programs and pedagogical scholarships. We constantly strive to develop new products and services as well as cultural offerings of use and interest to our network.
And now it is time for us all to come together at our Assemblée Générale in Naples, Florida, in a few weeks. There are many topics of interest to all of you, being presented by knowledeable speakers at the table ronde, the session on board management and fundraising and in the wide variety of workshops.
I look forward to welcoming you and continuing the discussion on how the Federation can best support you.
