Great Decisions 2009

Great Decisions is an annual publication of the Foreign Policy Association.
At the initiative of Mimi Gregory, President of the Alliance Française de Bonita Springs, Board member of the World Affairs Councils of America and of the Foreign Policy Association, the Delegation generale is pleased to present four articles selected among eight in this year edition. The themes considered in 2008 are:
1 - The US and Rising Powers
2 - Energy and the global economy
3 - The Arctic Age
4 - Human Rights in a new era: wars for peace
These four articles are now available in French for free to Alliance Française education directors and teachers upon their request (), and for a small fee to AF students, who can download it from the following website: Great Decisions 2009 in French
The documents should facilitate the creation of an advanced course (Cecr level B2 and up) based on major themes in international politics; written by american experts, the studies address american strategic decisions while proposing an introduction to global issues.
It is our hope that Directors will take the time to discover this material specifically prepared for them, and will consider, for their Alliance chapter, organizing theme classes whose interest and relevance should seduce their Alliance members.
